Dad Coaching

Every man needs other guys to help him process the big stuff. Coaching with Justin is 1 to 1 guided process that will help you understand yourself, your goals as a father and give you the framework to move forward.

“If I ask for help, I’m a failure.”

This is one of the biggest lies men believe.

Having the courage to ask for help is an incredibly powerful step towards being the father you want to be. The dads who grow aren’t the ones who never struggle, they’re the ones who stopped struggling alone.

Most of our fathers didn’t hand us toolboxes full of emotional awareness or healthy parenting techniques. That’s not your fault. But now that you’re an adult, it’s your responsibility to develop your own tools and pass them on to your kids.

Is this therapy?

No. It’s worth being clear about the difference.

Therapy

Therapy looks back to heal. It’s clinical, diagnostic, and the right choice for trauma, addiction, and mental health struggles. If that’s what you need, I’ll be the first to tell you and help you find it.

Coaching

Coaching looks forward to build. It’s practical, goal-oriented, and grounded in conversation between men. We work on who you want to be as a father and what’s in the way — patterns, habits, blind spots, decisions.

No couch. No diagnosis. Just conversations and plans with a dad who’s been through a lot and has 25 years of leadership experience, a healthy marriage, and a good relationship with all 4 of his kids. Meet Justin here.

The Dad Coaching Process

Strengths Assessment

You complete a Clifton Strengths Assessment to help you understand your unique strengths as a man and father. Every Dad Project coaching is rooted in a positivity framework. This assessment gives us a shared language to build on.

Story Articulation

To understand what tools your likely to draw from, we should look at the tools you were handed. This isn't about going back and asking 'why'. This is gaining a shared view of what was and where you're at as a dad.

Goal and Values

We create a picture of your goals as a dad and the values you want to live by. This becomes the anchor of our conversations and the bar you hold yourself to. Creating a clear target keeps us from talking in circles. Coaching engagements are about change, momentum, and results.

Coaching Conversations

Every call is oriented around your most pressing topics and helping you navigate them according to your values and goals. You leave each call with a plan that you can own and steps for moving forward.

About Justin

Justin Powell is the founder of Every Dad Project — a strength-based coach, married 25 years, father of four (ages 8 to 19), with a background in leadership and pastoral care.

Is he a perfect dad? If there were a camera following him around all day, you’d quickly discover otherwise. But as you’d learn in a first conversation….it’s not about the highs and lows. It’s how you process them that matters.

How to get started

It starts with a free 15-minute “get to know you” call. No pitch, no pressure — just a conversation to figure out whether this is a fit. If it’s not, I’ll point you toward something that is.
